Who We Are
We are a group of individuals who have found contented recovery and want to provide the environment and structure needed to help others achieve the same. We pledge to share our combined recovery experience, instilling in the hearts and minds of our guests the life skills and spiritual practices that will allow them to reclaim their lives.
An abstinence based, personal recovery program must incorporate a holistic approach, utilizing the wisdom of the 12 Steps, daily spiritual practice; mental, emotional, and physical self-care; service to others, and the development of healthy relationships. We do not provide medically assisted treatment or detox services.
Our goal is to greatly improve the quality of life for individuals who have been affected by substance abuse, as well as their families and the greater community.
At Mountain View Retreat, our holistic approach to mental health treatment focuses on the integration of the mind, body, and spirit. Our comprehensive program includes individual and group counseling, as well as instruction in yoga, meditation, coping strategies, basic nutrition, and job search skills. In addition, we offer a variety of unique classes such as boat building and cooking, ensuring that our guests have access to a wide range of therapeutic options. Our goal is to provide our guests with the tools they need to achieve long-term mental and emotional wellness on their own, when they’re ready to move on from us.
